I primarily browse with 2 windows side by side in windows 7, so they are half width (on 1920*1080 resolution), and the new banner is so wide that I always have a scroll bar at the bottom...

yeah, it stinks. why have the forum button all the way on the right? last placement was nice cause the mouse stayed in the area to pick your forum, subforums and read theads. now ya got me all over my screen.

VMG set header at a fixed css width (1200px wide) - needs to be % based.

Yeah, just checked the site with Screenfly.
Go to the link, enter forums.vwvortex.com and view it on different resolutions.

    Definitely needs to be optimized.

Here's an interesting article on responsive web design: http://wp.smashingmagazine.com/2012/...rdpress-theme/ (focusing on wordpress layouts, but it's applicable to any website)

Did anything else change recently? I swear the forums used to size perfectly for my iPad in portrait mode, and I think with the release of this new banner, they are now scaled smaller so I need to constantly re-zoom to use the entire screen. Am I crazy?

I never comment on this stuff, but my god the font/type is horrible in the banner. Plus it's twice the height it needs to be.

yep, moving the 5 categories at the top to be left-justified on the screen would make browsing easier!
