California law says you get a 30 min break for every 5 hours worked.

Federal labor laws state that in a 4 hour period, 1 15 minute break. In a 6 hour period, a 15 minute break and a half hour lunch. In an 8 hour period 2 15 minute breaks and a half hour lunch. In a 12 hour period it's the same as 8 hours. None of the breaks have to be paid.

I was in belief that it had to be a full non interrupted 1 hour break. Huh, I guess I was wrong and it can be broken up.
