I hope I don't have this issue. I just dropped my car on a set of sport springs and I sure was underestimating how low it was going to go. I have not gotten it aligned and back on the road quite yet, but it's a lot lower than I wanted.![]()

So my 08 jetta has a set of sport springs on it
Its really not that low just a little less wheel gap
So today I was going waiting at a light to go strait across a intersection, light turns
There was a lady behind me in a massive GMC Yukon, the intersection has 2 very deep dips in the middle of it
So I did not want to bottom out so I had to go at them at angle and go slow!
Well miss Yukon must have been in rush because she starts, flashing her lights throws her hands, and honks her horn at me!
Of course I was not going to speed up for her and wreck my car,she ends flooring it around me up the road
So are all people in bigger cars like this, when low cars have to go a bit slower?
Does anybody else have this problem when there driving a low car?![]()

So it's not THAT low, but it's too low that you have to drive in zig-zags on the road? BTW, that's just a common case of road rage, happens all the time.
#6
You do realize you're complaining for being the a-hole that inhibits the flow of traffic because you wanted to lower your car, right?
I mean, lower your car all you want, but learn to not inhibit the flow of traffic, or get used to being looked at like a douche.![]()

The car lounge is not really the place to discuss lowered cars..
What i do in this situation is air up, but when i was static i witnessed the same from people. Road rage![]()

Choose the right lane when possible.
Use hazard lights as a courtesy to other drivers to warn them you are going slower than normal.
Consider raising your ride height if you are unable to drive over minor road hazards without damaging your vehicle.

I get the same thing in my completely stock beater SAAB, I'm not going to go crashing over road construction at 35mph because someone behind me doesn't want to slow down. When I drove lowered cars I really cared about I tried to drive carefully while being as unobtrusive as possible. But again, to an extent.
I also found after I lowered my first car I was unnecessarily babying it, the stiffer springs and shocks made some minor undulations feel much more severe so I was crawling all over town until I realized I wasn't going to rip my oil pan off I just wasn't used to feeling it so much![]()

If your car isn't that low, then you wouldn't have to slow down to a crawl and turn 45 degrees just to cross some ruts. Either your car is slammed or you were on a high clearance 4WD only road.

I would do what she did, I hate people that go slow when the light turns, trying to save on gas or some other dumbass excuse.
However, I have had lowered cars in the past, so I would probably be laughing and waving at you as I blare my horn passing you.
#16
If you have to slow to a crawl to get over a speed bump or a crack in the road, you're too low and you shouldn't be on the road. I f*cking hate having to do 2km/h behind some jackhole who can't comprehend a functioning suspension.

I really love those who have lifted bro-dozers that go slow over speed bumps.
We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

Ladies in Yukons are honking and flashing lights all the time anyways. Who cares.
#28
thats why i don't lower the car
road conditions suck today, so i dont' get lowering
#29
easy fix:
lower yours even more...so low that you leave a scraping hole in the earth and chinese people start climbing out as you continue down the road.
she'll run them all over and get arrested.

My guess is that the person driving the GMC Yukon could not understand why the vehicle in front of them is slowing down for what seems to be no reason at all.
Ever drive behind someone who seemingly brakes and slows down for no good reason (especially when there is no other traffic)?
Still, there is no excuse for road rage.
#31
You're a jackass for slowing down traffic because you effed up your econobox.

I barrel down the streets of ATL and not a single **** is given. I don't get pissed though about people having to go slow on dips. I just use it as an opportunity to pass them.

I think if your car is too low to safely drive on public streets without scraping then you shouldnt be daily driving it. Its a safety hazard to you and others. If your car wasnt lowered, and you veered because you were talking on the phone, the driver of the yukon would have done the same thing. Because they dont know what you're doing.
#35
They understand that your **** is in the way.
Nobody likes getting stuck behind slow people, and unless you have your flashers on or you're showing some sort of obvious signs of distress, they're not much going to care why you're holding them up. You just are.
