      Ok, I'll bite.

I Have no bones with CTS posting here, but please quit bumping your stuff to the top of the forum artificially. We know you exist, and you seem to have a pretty good deal on clutches, but I was under the impression that this was a discussion forum, not a sales forum. There's a vendor marketplace, no?

Mods, if I'm completely and utterly off base, let me know, and i'll skulk back to the corner

What is the difference between the FX725 and the FX850? Do this clutches make the chatter noise? I have South Bend stage 3 endurance an I am tired of the noise it makes. Sounds like a TDI...

The difference between 725 and 850 is the disc sizes, 7.25" discs vs 8.5" discs, all the clutches designed to hold good power will make noise especially a twin disc. If you're worried about power handling capabilities the last thing you should be worried about is noise.

What clutch do you recommend for a MKVI GTI with APR Stage 3+?

whats your take on the fx300? why does it say not recommended for street racing? it says its for the weekend racer, but not street racing. what do you think they consider to be street racing? would fx400 be overkill for a stage 2 setup? im not decided if i want to go k04 yet.

You may want to consider the new FX350, they don't recommend the FX300 for prolonged racing because it would heat up and destroy the disc. For a K04 setup I would go with a FX350, PM for details as it's not available to the general public yet.

Bro… We had sick MK4 r32 roll in today to have our 3″ MK4 R32 exhaust system installed! Tonys R32 was bone stock before picking up this exhaust, but he wants more power!! Future plans include CTS Turbo R32 Stage 4 kit and complete engine buildup…. Keep your eyes peeled on the CTS Facebook for upcoming builds… Another local R32 Stage 4 should be hitting the streets this spring… If you’re looking for a 3″ stainless steel cat back system for your R32 drop us a line… sales@ctsturbo.com

Stainless steel, Mandrel bent piping, Tig welded construction, 4″ Stainless steel tips, //CTS Embossed mufflers, Laser etched tips, CNC mounting brackets, are just a few of the things that you’ll notice when you look at the CTS Turbo 3″ MK6 GTI exhaust. The performance gains, quality craftsmanship and amazing sound are just bonuses…

Today we had a customer come in complaining that his previous 3″ exhaust wasn’t fitting, exhaust tips were crooked and it was rubbing. You normally don’t expect those types of problems when you spend $900.00 on an exhaust system. Thankfully today hour customer left CTS with our new MK5 3″ cat back exhaust, tig welded, stainless steel, torca accuseal clamps, great fitment and sound… If you’re looking for a problem free new exhaust system that performs as good as it looks then check out our online store. We have CTS MK5 3″ cat back exhaust systems on the shelf, no need to wait months for someone elses exhaust system that doesn’t fit right…

I’m a statistics guy and I wanted to take some time to research what MK6 owners were using to hold their various power levels. I’ve not only tested 3 different clutch setups but I’ve followed all of the clutch threads for a while now. I felt that I should condense everything I found in a single thread for those who may have questions or want more feedback/recommendations for their particular applications. For those of us that still have slipping clutches or plan on going for more power, it seems that we all have the same concerns: what kit should I run to hold my power level A and how will it change the feel of my car? I figured I could go a step further to help everyone out. Aside from reading threads and sending PM’s to various members, some people have received a lot of their clutch recommendations from CTS Turbo (paid vendor/sponsor here). To cross-check what I found out on my own I called them to find out what they are using for each power level. Below is what they are recommending for any level of power. At the end of the day I’d love to stack these recommendations up against what power level people are running with what kits.

Recommended for Stock, Stage 1 (includes steel flywheel):
      FX100 / FX200 / FX250 / FX300

Stage 1, Stage 2, K04 kits (includes steel flywheel):
FX350 Full Face Disc - highly recommended, great pedal feel
FX400 8 puck option- smoother engagement than 6 puck - highly recommended
FX400 6 puck option- aggressive clutch for high power cars

Big Turbo Kits, Stage 3/3+ (includes steel flywheel):
FX400 8 puck option - smoother engagement, good daily clutch for big turbo cars
FX400 6 puck option - aggressive clutch for high power cars
FX400 4 puck option - very aggressive engagement - recommended for very high power cars
FX500 - harsh engagement & special order, unsprung disc

      Other:
I asked about Bully, Sachs, South Bend and Spec but they could not offer any recommendations on these units. If anyone has input from other shops on specific power levels, I’d love to add it here.

Lastly, after speaking with CTS Turbo they said they are offering their kits shipped to our community for $1,195 with coupon code CTSTURBO. This is NOT a GB or an organized order list. I thought people who need to resolve their weak clutches would like to know of a coupon code from a paid vendor/sponsor on this forum. We’re all about saving money for other mods...
