Again...I hate you. That lighting was a good experience. I really think that the next investment will be a new lens. I want to be able to get more crisp photos.

I was so happy that I made the drive down there and cruised the strip and went to the show on just a hair over half a tank. Filled up on the way home. I only ventured down that far once...and even then it was 9th.

As of yesterday, the GLI turned 73,000 miles. This means I only have 1,000 miles of CPO warranty left. It grew up so fast.

Installed the BFI stage 2 full transmission mount last night and everything feels much better.

Forge Motorsport WINTake Issue Update:

So, this is the end of the road for the Forge WINTake and my car. A last effort to attempt to fix the problem was to take the filter element apart, inspect, and reinstall. I did this last night. When I reinstalled the filter element, I realigned and adjusted the piping and silicone couplers. Went out for a drive and the issue returned in about ten miles. Came home and parke the car. So frustrated with the issue. I emailed Sean at Forge USA last night and this morning I woke to an email saying that a replacement TWINTake would be shipped out today for both myself and Chris. Sean is clueless as to what is causing the issue. Both full intakes plus the replacement parts will be sent back to Forge for investigation for any flaws.

I am not, and will not, say anything bad about Forge or the WINTake. The quality and customer service are there. There is obviously something so small that is causing an issue. Sean informed me that there have only been four reported issues with the FSI WINTake...Chris and I are two of the four. So it is time to move on. I will update once the new intake shows up.

Glad to know only 4 issues came up, but how many total have they sold? I thought about if I was going to buy any of these intakes getting the WINtake, Im glad I saved my money and bought more LEDs. My luck I would end up with one of these bad ones too. And heaven knows I dont have time for problems with this car right now lol.

They've sold many. I obviously don't have any numbers but I've been told hundreds. Four out of even one hundred are still good odds. Hell, for all I know, it may not be the intake itself. All I know is that both my set up and Chris's set up do not function properly with this intake. Anxious to receive the TWINTake and enjoy my car again.

He has a different DV and boost gauge tap and is a 2006, but that's about it. As far as I'm concerned, an intake should be as plug and play as possible. I have read issues with stock software and APR stage 1. I have also read people having Unitronic and the BSH block off with no issues. There just appears to be no rhyme or reason.

I have the original single pipe cold air intake. I love it because its just once piece all the way down to the bumper. Simple and clean.

Probably no issues with that because it is a similar design with most other intakes. I miss my old Neuspeed setup because it was plug and play and with the extension, definitely worth it. But I just got bored. I wanted a something new. I had the Neuspeed with all the same supporting harware for almost three years. This is what I get for changing. Haha.

The TWINTake will be here on Monday.

Forge Motorsport WINTake Issue Update:

I received the TWINTake today and threw it on. The block off for the optional DV relocation was forgotten so I wrapped the block off with electrical tape heavily until it gets here. I haven't had a chance to drive the car yet, but the same quality as the WINTake shows.
