Autotech HPFP’s are very popular for the 2.0T FSI crowd going stage 2 and stage 2+. Today we just received another shipment of 100 Autotech High Pressure Fuel Pumps. Keep your eyes peeled for installation pictures of the Autotech HPFP upgrade on our CTS Turbo Golf R project car:

let me know how the pump preforms, i've been considering upgrading mine and getting H2Sports bearing follower. my only concern is if they've updated the lobe for the more aggressive lobe

Given that the Golf R stock is pumping out 270+ HP, it is somewhat concerning that the page for this pump upgrade says it supports 300+ HP. Stage 1+ cars are probably pushing that number, or more. It appears that Stage 2+ cars are running over 350 HP.

Is this a typo on your part? Is that supposed to be 400+ HP?

If this isn't a typo, the upgrade kit does not appear to be worth much to the average Golf R owner.

That's a very good question. I'm not sure how many of the Golf R owners are educated about the engine that come in their cars. If you're running a stage 2 or 2+ tune with bolt ons you will need a fuel pump upgrade to extract maximium power, that's the bottom line. We have already made ~ 500WHP with the Autotech HPFP, so have loads of other FSI owners.

    According to Autotech their HPFP:

"Can achieve flow rates 50% higher than the original pump, essentially removing pump limitations from the equation, even on high-end turbo upgrades"

The basic fuel pump design in your Golf R is no different than that of a MK5 FSI GTI, it's also no different from an ED30 GTI, or the Audi S3, which all have the standard K04 that comes in your car. Some tuners may not want you to know this, why? Possibly to charge you more money because you're a Golf R owner and obviously have more money in your pockets. So if there are any Golf R owners out there thinking they need some witchcraft fuel pump to make 500HP then that's fine, they can learn the hard way. For those of you that are in the know then put the extra money you save in your pocket for a big turbo kit. Being a Golf R owner myself and having driven and built FSI's to 500+HP I will do the latter. In the last year we have sold over 600 of these Autotech HPFP's, and one of them was in our shop car:

Will your autotech hpfp upgrade, along with the stock/tank pump be able to handle or fully support fueling for 400awhp 100%???

You'll most likely need the HPFP and an upgraded LPFP intank solution.

You guys may be interested in the big turbo Golf R kits too:

My HPFP kit arrives tomorrow, anxiously waiting.
Don't know why, but I can't wait to rebuild this second pump I have.

Question though: I don't think it matters, but will the OEM "H" pump flow the same as the OEM "K" pump?

Do you know of if there are any differences btwn the two?

Yes. I rebuilt the Golf R's pump, not the other one.

The older one looks like it needs a good cleaning, didn't feel like tearing it apart.

So, it literally took me <20 minutes to pull off the OEM pump, rebuild it and re-install.

    Works fine.

Good info here, we've got the same one in our Golf R running 20+psi on a GT turbo...

With this kit, my APR stage 2+ Golf R have seen actual rail pressure values easily sustained in
the 130's, and as high as 144. But, I've never really went and "tested" it's limits.

Last week we received a cherry MK5 R32 from a customer of ours that was keen for some CTS Turbo power upgrades. We’ve got a few things planned for this beast, firstly we will be developing a new Stainless Steel 3″ cat back exhaust system, and secondly a new cold air intake kit to help the NA R32 breath… Keep your eyes peeled here for photos and updates… and maybe if you’re lucky some sound clips…

    Just an FYI.
That's good to know, within the first 5,000 miles of driving our Big Turbo Golf R we saw absolutely no unusual cam follower wear. We have been running our big turbo kit on our Golf R from the start complete with Autotech HPFP and RS4 injectors, RS4 FPV etc. now @ 20PSI.

Cam follower wear is normal and every Golf R owner should be taking precautions with their cam followers. I would recommend changing the follower more frequently than the dealer recommends, it's cheap insurance and good peace of mind. The engine in our Golf R shares the vast majority of the same problems as the FSI engine from the 2006-2008 models, I'm sure you've done your homework on cam follower failures and problems and if you haven't then you should. The fact of the matter is that we've sold 1000+ of these fuel pumps in the last 1-2 years @ CTS Turbo and they are by far the best bang for the buck pump out there, and they are made to exacting tolerances.

I would like to know if you provide any torq specs on reassembly? The other question is regarding compression and o rings. Do you provide in your kit and of these items? Based on the visual kit on your website it does not look though any additional parts are shown.

    Thank you,

Not to sound dumb (Even though I will) why is your fuel pump upgrade so much cheaper than your major competitor's? Is it just as good?

Also, your instructions link on your website does not work currently...
