Thread: Audi TT Dead Pedal Install + VW GTI Pedal covers

  1. 06-29-2012 12:14 PM #1
I need suggestions on the Audi TT Dead Pedal Install

I think there was a lot more recent DIY on how to "mod" it but I can't see to find it anywhere.
    What to do?
    - cut off the tab on the new Audi TT dead pedal + velcro
    - cut off the tab on the new Audi TT dead pedal + leave it as is
    - cut off the tab on the new Auid TT dead pdeal + super glue tab 2" higher to match factory A3 dead pedal

it's been a long time since i did mine, but it doesnt need to be THAT secure.. im pretty sure mine's just in there with the 1 screw at the top and friction at the bottom holding it in.

so to answer your question, cut tab and leave it as is (what i did).

@brungold: I guess I'll just cut it off and leave it alone then. Did you go to michgo's Malibu cruise? It's been a while since I've seen you at a meet or cruise.

I'm running APR Stage 1 now. I have a brand APR RSC Exhaust at home I've been waiting to install. I'm looking for an APR or B&B DP before I go APR Stage II. I haven't really done too much else to it besides timing belt service and carbon cleaning.

i got velcro on mine. it doesn't velcro onto the rug as expected. it does stick out a little though, although sometimes, it feels tight fitting.
