Hi everyone, i`m new in Polo Forum, and i want to present my buddy`s car, he don`t have time because of work, so i have permission to present small project.

    As topic says:

MK I VW Polo from 79 year

    Engine:
    1,3 l PY
    G60 compressor
    bigger injectors,
    G60 fuel pressure regulator
    custom water cooler
    K&N air filter
    MB intercooler
    tooth belt drive for G60
    bigger fuel pump
all seals, o rings etc brand new
    custom stainless exhaust
and a lot more tricks for more power

    Gearbox:
std G40 gearbox with new joints

    Outside:
    original look
    refurbished body
    New black paint
    lots of chrome parts
    Motorsport rear lights
    modified front
    mk I gti front spoiler

    Chasis:
    14" RSL Motorsport wheels,
G40 brakes (refurbished), new ATE powerdiscs on front, and new ATE drums on rear, new custom cables,
    new brake lines, etc.
    GT Cupline kit -60mm
front and rear strut bars and others in weak points.

    Inside:
    new leather / alcantara seats
    Wiechers rollbar
G40 gauges + pressure, temp, amp VDO gauges
Schroth seat belts ( to mount)

    So, time for some pics:

On the start car was green

than we do some work for more place for new engine:

    New heart:

    And more cuts:

fat G60 don`t want fit easy:
    lots of cutting in front...

And after maintenance, more strut bars between stringers and final painting :

MB intercooler, a bit angular, but does the job:

    Brakes:

from this perspective, most often you will see polo

    And after first test drive:

That was on 1 stage, boost around 1,2bar, std ecu.

At this time is going stage 2, with ported head, custom intake, external oil cooler, smaller G wheel, new camshaft, new Sachs race clutch, another engine block ( better condition), new piston rings, so polo do some kilometers without boost. In next month will be new ecu, boost around 1,5 bar, and estimated power 200+ hp.

So here we go again with new stuff:

    Old parts:

    More power- toth belt drive:

    Sachs race clutch- to 300Nm:

Bigger oil cooler with mocal thermostat:

And it looks like this, here still without intake manifold:

    Front:

And this is actual photo of little killer:

    All work is performed independently.

More info with time, car is still in progress.

Brilliant little Polo! Is the G60 charger holding up? I heard they are a weak point on the G40 engine because the little 1,3 revs faster?

Yes, it`s G60 charger, should be good, we have actually smaller G charger wheel so wil be revs much faster than original but still should be safe. Car doesn`t do thousand of kilometers, it`s only for weekend fun. Charger is after maitenance and modifications, so it`s life is much much shorter, but we`ve got another charger in mint condition, so we will see how it will be run, if something goes bad, we take another.
