Do bigger throttle throats on a given engine size equate to a "twitchier" feel to the engine?
Still plodding away on my NH650. Going to EFI. Have several donor options.
Original bike (650cc I4) used 4x 32mm venturi CV carbs. Cheapest donor parts I'm finding come from a CBR600 sporting 4x 40mm throttle throats.
Is it going to make a big difference, adding 8mm of diameter to each of these like that? I want a machine with good rideability to go with the uniqueness when I'm done, not an On-Off switch for a throttle.
GSXR600 throttles are apparently 38mm throats, and ZX6 likewise. Would these be a better option? I have no qualms about going non-Honda on parts, I'll have something of a bastard but as long as I keep good documentation for spare parts we'll be fine.
