Poor Pastrana... Had an opportunity to interview/hang out with him for a bit and he's a genuinely nice guy from what I can gather. Bad luck for a good dude.

I can't believe this ****. Did anyone just watch the race with Pastrana getting punted into the first corner?

Pastrana totally made the holeshot off the line, was gonna make it through the first corner in 1st place... then the other 3 cars ALL plow right into the back off him shoving his car right into the wall.

I feel like Im watching a bunch of kids playing Forza online.

I think the problem is that there is really no good passing opportunity after that initial corner. The first person out of that corner has won 100% of the time.

You can't deny that they overestimated their speed, especially the saab. Now they are having false starts.

I still find it funny that just because Pastrana made a relatively successful transition from "Extreme Sports" to racing, his buddies think they can do it too...

Deegan is pretty damn good in the off-road trucks as well.

I was appalled at what happened to Pastrana, then was livid when Scott was allowed to carry on in competition, I didnt think Pastrana got mad until I saw him after that non sense. told my wife I was disappointed because I wanted an American driver to win in an American car, does that make me a bad person? lol

I think Foust is very much underrated. One of those different time, different place and he might have made it big. But you are still comparing someone who saw off the likes of Gronholm(speedy recovery hopefully), Sainz, McRae, Solberg, Hirvonen...etc and is the most successful, and arguably the best rally driver of all time(and a 8 times world champion).

And while Deegan might be a decent trophy truck sprint race driver, the fact that in the pre-race interview he is pinning his hope on his Ford teammate getting a better start, holding up Loeb so he can get in there and be "aggressive" on his passing....not too impressed....

At least in this case, even Block is more of a "letting the stop watch talk" driver, not a bumper car racing driver....

Did anyone else find the commentators to be terrible? The track was also poorly planned and too tight. Its a continuous problem. X-Games needs to pick better venues if they are going to take rally cross seriously. That being said, I'm sure its a huge challenge to do so.

The coverage is pretty terrible overall...the rallycross is still a sideshow I think in the whole X Games thing. I generally don't mind watching X games since you have the "extreme sports" in the most ridiculous level(big air, giant half pipe...etc), but the real street skate boarding just looks silly on TV....its meant to mimic real world so you don't get the out of this world trick.....bad TV IMO. Watching that while waiting for the rallycross to start was a annoying...At least Grand Am race was on for the first part...
