    quick wheel bolt / spacer question.

    super quick question...

    Ive got my new wheels coming in tomorrow, and I realized i made a big mistake, but i wont get into that.

    question is, ive heard 5mm is the most you can stretch a set of lug bolts to work safely...

    would 6mm make that big of a difference if i keep an eye on them and give them a good torquing after a couple miles?

    5mm is the MOST

    to safely have them mounted it should be 7 full turns into the hub

    why not just get 8mm spacers with longer lugs

    hey I appreciate the response, I was able to get 8 turns in on them but even then i didnt like the idea at all.

    I found the right bolts last night, I ended up already having them but thought they were ball seats until further inspection.

    Good for you I'm all down for trying different things if to see if they work, but when it comes to something like a wheel falling off, f--- that.
