So my wife is in love with sprint blue s4's and we just happened to find a local 2010 3.0T s4 in sprint blue it's got the auto(dsg?) which is perfect for her. Are there any reliability issues with these engines? I'm a tech so working on/ fixing won't be a huge deal this once has 32k on it and I believe is cpo. Is it a worthwhile buy or should I stay away?

Check that the water pump & thermostat are already checked/replaced, in service records.

Add a screen to the SC intercooler, after you get the car.

Water pump failures are the biggest threat so far. Some of the 3.0Ts do consume some oil. Mine does. Lots of people have been tracking to see if there is a carbon build up problem like in the 4.2 V8s. So far, there has been no reports of bad build up that i've seen. If it has a sport diff, those may have a seal leak too. Other than that, the cars seem to be fairly reliable & fun! I have a 2011 sprint blue, so I'm a little biased, but I say go for it.
Edit - i must be tired. I missed all the other posts saying pretty much what I just said. I'm interested too-- Diid you get it?

I had an engine fail at 3300 miles but I'm lucky :-(
Audi had it back on the road in a week, so they took care of me, its not typical to have that engine fail.
