Thread: Do i need a visa to travel to ukraine

    So im going with my wife to Ukraine in September she's a US Citizen and i have my permanent resident card (im from Ukraine) Do i have to get a visa to go to Ukraine or a passport will work?

    It depends on how long you will be there. With a US passport if you are going for under 90 days you do not need a visa. Just went to Kiev two weeks ago for some backup to that.

    I'm not sure what you are asking. If you have a Ukrainian passport, you don't need a visa to go to your own country.

    Your wife will not need a visa either if that is what you are asking. Unless you plan on staying for more than 90 days.

    I think i figured it out, sent my papers to WA D.C for a passport/visa and i'll see what they say. The only passport i have is the first one when i came here and that over 20 years ago.

    For my wife its much easier, i know that i was just confused about me.

    I see, your Ukrainian passport has expired. You need a new one.

    When you return to the US, they'll want to see your Green Card at immigration so don't forget to take that with you.
