Thread: clutch question

  1. 07-03-2012 02:41 PM #1
ive got an aba and my tranny just went to the 020 gods, so ive got another 020 chb from a 1.8l and i know it has a 22mm input shaft and the tranny that went capoop had a 24mm input shaft, so what im trying to say here could i use an 02a clutch i can get my hands on for cheap or would this not work at all and id have to fork over the money for a new 1.8l clutch? also would i need the whole clutch kit or just the clutch itself? btw this is on a 98 2.slow

    thanks vortexers

you can't use an 02A clutch on an 020.
just buy a stock sachs 020 clutch and put it in.
stop trying to be clever and just fix your car.

thanks for clearing that up, didn't think it would work but wasn't trying to be clever, just cheap
