OK having a few issues with the car that im trying to get sorted out...This check engine light being one of them...I bought the car with it on..

So I tried jumping the obd1 connector to get a blink code and to reset it and it doesnt work...It doesnt blink or anything...So i am unable to manually pull codes.

I left the battery out of the car overnight thinking that it would reset it as well...Hooked it up the next morning started the car and the light was still on...

Im having a few other issues (idle ect) that im trying to trouble shoot but not being able to pull codes is suckin..Not to mention i will have to smog this thing sooner or later..

Are there any other alternatives i can do ?

I called autozone and a few shops seeing if they had obd1 readers and they dont, and CA state legally cant check the codes for you, so i was told (at autopart stores)
