    Damn, I miss the good ol days when a Vette wasn't a vette unless Lingenfelter, Mallet, Callaway, etc... did work on it. Are those companies still around? The C4 was such a turd, that these companies made fortunes on making America's sweetheart a real car again. These cars were always on the blistering edge of failure. It seemed like every magazine test one was failing. Personally, I think thats what made them so fun to watch and read about.

    That said, I have zero desire to own a hopped-up Viper. Corvette maybe, as they're a little more dime-a-dozen, but not the snake.

    Yup, they're all still kicking. They all got a lot of competition once the C6 came out. The competition has been good for the aftermarket though.
