Thread: New guy in Layton

  1. 07-04-2012 08:36 PM #1
Hi. I'm Jon, not new to vw or forums, but new to modifying vws and vw forums.

I just recently acquired a 2009 tiguan. My wife loved them, I had a mazdaspeed3 and she had a tiguan. I traded in the mazda and bought her a new tiguan, now I'm going to drop the older tiguan and put an intake on it and some other stuff. So if anyone has leads on springs I can throw on the tig, lemme know.

It may seem strange to have two tigs, but it's going to look great when Im done with it.

I look forward to getting to some meets or something.

Congrats on ridding yourself of the Mazduh and getting into another Tig.

My better half just traded in her 07 Passat for a new reflex Silver Tiguan SE. She is so stoked on it and I gotta admit they are just too fun. Great cars.

hey, i live in south ogden too! that makes 4 of us "davis county" guys that don't actually live IN davis county

and i have always wanted to seen a nicely done tiguan, i've always thought those lil' mini suv's have potential.

Yeah, i dont know if I'll be going that low, or looking that good, but thats the idea.

I havent had time to look up a good FAQ for modding and parts. Anyone have any recommendations? I've found a lot of site dont carry a full line of parts, and I have yet to find a definitive article on what other car's parts will and wont work.

One set of coils I found only listed a 2" drop. The Eibach and HR springs only go an inch and a half. I still need to be able to tow with the tig also.

Tossed my rack on. Looks much better. Almost makes the car look smaller somehow.

Waiting on 17.5 mm spacers now.
