It looks awesome. I am insanely jealous.

After an agonizing 8 months, the new ride is here. I haven't driven it too much (lots of hail in the forecast.) It's a big change from the Cayman, but a good one so far. The engine is fantastic; it sounds great, and has wonderful flexibility. The best part is being able to take my son for rides in the yellow weeee (his words.)Sorry for going a little crazy on the pics. If you have questions, fire away!

Did I read this correctly, you traded one of the best handling cars for a Mustang?
#4
How is the handling compared to the Cayman? Most car magazines were impressed with the Boss dynamics and rated it above the Corvette.
#6
I haven't pushed it too hard yet, but the short answer is it's different. The Cayman's steering is better, no question. It's just the nature of a mid-engined car versus a front engined one. The Cayman felt super buttoned down at any point up to the limit, where it turned a little snappy. The Mustang feels a tad out of sorts at low speed, but gets way better once you start pushing. I've been driving around with the shocks on 2 out of 5, so I expect the body control to increase a fair amount at 5, with a ride penalty to accompany it. The Mustang steers way more with the throttle though, credit the Torsen LSD and 444hp.![]()

good decision! car is beautiful except the wheels... im sorry i just think ford could have done much better!
got a local guy with the 2nd 2013 gt500 ever and i believe he was the first and only white (as of last time i talked to him)
I would pick true american muscle over euro/import any day; especially a hopped up edition.
buddy races his 2012 5.0 at the local track and he keeps up with the porsches until he hits the turns. all he has to do is upgrade brakes and stiffen suspension and he will be side by side with a carrera.

Such excellent taste in vehicles and colors, good sir. I tip my hat to you.

I spent way too much time with these at the Detroit auto show...great car.
Minor complaint: the front grill with the "deleted" driving light holes looks crappy. They could have done something different, and made a great car look even better.

Opinions: Look-at-me Yellow is the worst color. Those wheels look like cheap tuner rimz from 1999.
Facts: That car is badass. Your kid is lucky as hell to have a Yellow Wee. I'm jealous.

Sharp car, congratulationsIMO whenever your kid smiles when you hit the go pedal, it automatically confirms your decision to buy the car

Awesome. Yellow isn't for me, but if I was going to buy a Mustang, the Boss would be it. Sweet car.

A list of mods, all cars ever owned and something cribbed from a book, song and/or movie were all just here. Sorry you missed out on my unique, snowflake-like individuality.

Suggestion for the fogs: Brake (or just general) cooling ducts, and make the blanked out rounds in the grill the duct openings, and finish them with chrome rings.
Like this:
Absolutely killer car. That's one car I'd pay money for regardless of the color, the wheels, or anything else. That car could be Hello Kitty pink for all I care.

My co-worker took delivery of an identical yellow Boss a few weeks ago, shortly before taking delivery of a black 2013 Shelby GT500. I got some wheel time in both cars. While the Shelby is obviously more powerful and a more sophisticated car, I liked how the Boss drove better. Handling was unbelievably good, and the motor was flexible and sounded great. I also loved the super short throw gearbox, even shorter than my S2000 and shorter than the Shelby.

Cons:
-Wheels look like they're from pep-boys
- Fog light deletes look terrible
- you traded a Porsche for a Mustang
- you bought a mustang
- more wheel gap than an F-150
Pros:
- Car sounds amazing
- Factory exposed stress bar in the back
- Comfortable as all hell
- Dash is surprisingly non-ford (more european look to it)
