But with all of these points there are still so many good reasons to live here.
      I call those, Washington drivers.

We got PLENTY of those in the rest of the state, and you sure as hell don't have to travel far to find 'em.

Haha...right. Like there is not a massive meth epidemic in Portland...or all the homeless kids shooting heroin in Courthouse Square...or all the crack heads in Northeast...Portland is the controlled substance abuse Mecca. And speaking of rednecks, have you been to Clackamas county lately? Short of West Linn/Lake Oswego/parts of Wilsonville the rest is populated by hicks...

There's an oddly large and growing population of Oregonian expatriates in New Orleans; they all drive old diesel Mercedes, have thick beards, and wear flannel.

Too funny how this is blown out of proportion by people that don't live here.

We have no need for any more lumberjacks in the city of New Orleans, so if the plan is to strengthen our gene pool please send us pretty white girls instead.

      reading fail.. my bad

From a tourist POV, I think Canon Beach is a lot more gorgeous than say Vancouver Island/Tofino.
I think the women in Portland (clubs/bars) are much friendlier than the ones found here.

That's all I can add.. LOL

Are you kidding me?! That's one of the South's finest exports, beautiful women! Hell, they all look like Janine Garofalo here in the PNW.

No, no, no. As someone who originally came from Baton Rouge, who bleeds purple and gold, longs for a crawfish boil, Miller Lite, and scantitily clad female neighbors, I declare YOU start sending pretty white girls this way.

I would ask for some of their brew too.

Okay, that's it. Load up a bus full of the LSU Golden Girls, some Abita Turbo Dog / Dixie Blackened Voodoo, 100lbs of Crawfish (Hell and send Emeril while we're at it to cook for me), some beignets, Peirre and Boudreux for some redneck laughs and that should suffice

In exchange, I'll send down some Pyramid/Widmer/Deschutes/Rogue Beer, some smelly, self-hating trustafarians from the Evergreen State College, "I Don't Shop at Walmart" bumper stickers for the handful of Subarus in Louisiana, some curbside all-in-one recycling bins, free range chicken and some ash from Mt. St. Helens.

Ah my hometown Portland. Where it doesn't rain nearly as much as Seattle and, yes, people definitely drive slow. Whats the rush? Enjoy all the green scenery. Also home to the best fresh food in the country. When you first buy a car it is required to be a Subaru or VW, Once you make enough money you are required to buy an Audi from one of one dealer in the greater Portland area. I always wanted to make some money and open a Subie/Audi dealership and give Sunset Audi a little competition. BTW if the rain gets you down just skip over to Central Oregon for a few days. Best kept secret in Oregon.
