Thread: 2010 tdi tuning?

  1. 07-06-2012 02:46 PM #1
    Who is the person to go to for chip tuning on a cr tdi?? I'll be ordering a performance tdi exhaust and want to leave the pdf alone. Can I expect much better numbers with this?

    pdf = dpf?

    if so.. no. You can expect absolutely no change in sound or power with any exhaust change while the dpf remains in the car. You must remove the dpf to gain any power.. it's just too restrictive.

    The only real engine performance mod worth anything (right now) while the dpf is in is a stage 1 or stage 2 software from the normal software vendors (Revo, Malone, Unitronic). If you want to take the dpf out then you can do a lot more.

    Rawtek also makes a nice DPF delete and exhaust.

    It looks like getting rid of the dpf is the way to go as it's just too restrictive. It's between rawtek and performance diesel. The rawtek is cheaper as far as the downpipe. Both look like great quality. Anyone actually done a dpf delete or any tuning to a cr tdi? Any recommendations on a shop around Olympia or Tacoma for installation of the exhaust would be appreciated as well
