Lately I've been having issues with my dog and would like to get some info. Shes a yellow lab and is 6 years old. I've never had an issue with her as far as people go, she will lick you too death. I took her to the beach about 2 weeks ago to go for a swim. I get there and there is 3 black labs playing so I think great this should be great!. She is tuggin me the whole way up there and cant wait to get loose. So I let her go and she charges at the labs, when she gets to them there is a second of just sniffing then she gets attacked. The male lab gets her right on the ear and most of her neck, me and the owner struggled but was able to get him off (few punches to the face did it). So $120.00 later (out of my pocket ) she just isnt the same it appears. I have her outside tied and this lady decides to bring her little dog over, she asked me if mine was friendly I replied of coarse and two seconds later my dog attempted to bite hers. I was very surprised, everytime she is out and sees other dogs she is very agressive, but im not sure if she wants to play or fight. It doesnt matter how much I yell at her or what I do she doesnt care. Does she just need to be around other dogs more? she does fine with my sisters and lived with a puppy sheppard for a few months with no issues. I really hate having to take her home because another dog shows up and she gets out of control.

Hard to really answer as there are many factors that contribute to fights. Couple questions that might help clarify:

-The initial attack: Were both dogs off leash when they met and the attack happened?
-In regards to your dog being aggressive: When this occurred, were both dogs either on or off leash?
-How was your pup socialized during their first year?
-How often does your dog interact with other dogs/animals?

No doubt your dog may be on edge since the attack.

Just out of curiosity, during the initial attack, was the other dogs and owner aware of your dog coming to them before you released?

got her after 6 months, always loved by the family

Yes the owner approached me and I asked if it was ok and he said yes, I dont blame him dogs will be dogs I guess. I talked to the clinic and they said being around other animals should calm down her excitement.
