Whats up guys? A couple of you here know me, I've been on here for a couple years and had a thread over on audiforums but unfortunately that died out pretty fast
Anyways my brother just picked up a cactus avant with a ton of plans so heres where it begins...
I bought my car bone stock back in April '10 looking like this:
Was in real nice condition besides a paint problem I later found on the rear/passenger side. 01 1.8t tiptronic, but after a year and realizing I wanted a real driving car I did a 5spd swap
I started off small with a boost gauge, tint and a chip and then it all went downhill haha
And heres where we are now:
Mods:
Exterior:
OEM Audi Flat Fives, +25 rear +30 front
S4 front bumper
S4 Skirts/moldings
S4 rear bumper
6k HID low beams
3k HID fogs
RS4 grill
Tint, 35% front 20% rear
"Euro" trunk
LED plate lights
Engine:
GIAC X Chip
Forge 007 DV
VMR testpipe
Milltek exhaust/downpipe (loveeee)
New south power gasket
APR Snub mount
Boost Factory MBC
EFK mod
Suspension/brakes
A8 front brake upgrade
Drilled and slotted front rotors
Slotted rear rotors
Bilstein Sport Struts
H&R race springs
ECS front coilover sleeves
Corse Stabilia 21mm rear sway
Drivetrain
5spd Swap
ebay short shifter
JHM linkage upgrade
JHM shifter bushing
Stern Power ring
Interior/Audio
Full interior LED's
Wrapped trim
Pioneer Avic z120bt (ipod, bluetooth, gps)
Kicker KS component speakers all around
Alpine type R 12in woofer
Kenwood 1000watt amp
I'm sure I'm missing stuff but thats about all I can remember for now haha.
I had a full frame gt2860rs I planned on putting in but had to sell for financial reasons at the beginning of the summer. Since then I picked up a good job and picked up a gt2871r elim kit (not full frame I know)
But so far I have:
Turbo (zero shaft play)
high flow mani
test pipe
oil/coolant lines
Uni MAFless 630 tune
Just need some 630 injectors, some one help me out!
I'll be doing a little build in here for that since I'm deleting a bunch at the same time.
Other plans are stern mounts all around and some wheels with a little dish and i have a big interior project coming
But like I said, its a family affair

It's a real work in progress. So far, I only have a few mods, but necessary ones. Here's where I'm at now:

Hey, sorry for no updates recently, but heres one quick one.
So as for my car, I've just put some small performance parts in such as a K&N air filter, heat shield, and diverter valve.
Update of what my car looks like (probably won't keep the hood cover on or roof rack, thats the way it was on the trip to Waterfest):
Dad's car. Almost stock, and it'll stay that way:
Brother started the big turbo today. Here's the current engine bay:
Typical day...

Our fuel filters are a big pain in the ass, especially compared to other cars.
I had it sitting in my garage for about a year and a half because I kept putting it off, and thats what happens... I get stranded at the local pick a part haha

really? it was the fuel filter...? mine is still sitting in the trunk after 3yrs...![]()

Update!
haha
3 Audis? same here! i drive an 01 avant, a4 quattro/manual, Sister drives a black b5 sedan, fwd auto, and my mum drives an 09 a4 quattro auto... can never have too many audis!!!!
Any other plans for your engine build?
Also if you sell those rims, i might be interested!

nice group of cars
I hate to say it but my brothers already called dibs on my wheels haha
For my engine I'm dropping in some IE rods, and putting in a clutchmasters fx400 clutch sometime before next year.
Then next summer I'm going to upgrade to a t3 comp turbo, probably a ct4952 and I'm gonna ditch the unitronics tune and move up to maestro. Cant wait for that.
Also another member (Poopie) is enlarging my intake manifold for me, it's always seemed too small to me and some members with bigger turbos have seen nice hp increases so I figured I'd see what it can do for me.

haha no worries on the rims, nice choice for rods, i was eye balling the tuscans for my t3 build, depending on my money situation i would like too do maybe full race manifold on an gtx30, with maestro as well.
any plans for the block? i recommend having everything balanced it makes for one hell of a buttery engine. my plans for the block is to do an ever so slight overbore with a rehone, 2.0 fsi crank balanced and some tuscan rods. i was also considering a dry sump.
