If anyone cared about this thread or wondering where it was going. It came to screeching hault due to my heart. Life got in the way and although it is a special car, in the end its just a car. I still got it and will work on it once I recover from my surgery. cheers to all who have been interested in this car/"build"

I do have a question for the b3 TD owners. Is the rear TD badge just a generic "TDI" styling one or one that is unique I guess? Searched and nothing came up.

This is my rabbits badge to show its a turbo diesel in a rabbits way, is there one for the passat?

no i do not remember looking in etka at any b3 turbo diesel specific badging.
it simply reads passat gl in the trunk lid of the last sedan i saw.
the b4 td reads passat glx.
so not in nort america.maybe in europe there was a badge to make alution to a turbo diesel power plant under the hood.
