Well, nothing goes as planned. I went to LOOK at colors in person and to order a JK Wrangler yesterday, since my lease is up on my BMW Oct. 1st. Long story short, I haggled $5k off MSRP with good old fashioned grinding and then told them I qualified for incentives and took this home. Deal was too good, and I like Red. 2012 Sport SWB, 6spd manual hand shaker, trac-loc with 3.73's (must have) power everything (didn't want it, but it was either move up to a Sahara, or get a auto with bad gearing and open diff), cruise, freedom top, UConnect, Sat radio, trailer package. I picked the manual as I wanted better control over my gears, plus the reliability factor. Its going to take some getting use to out in the dirt, my old Landcruiser FJ40 and FJ60 were sticks, but that was a decade ago, and my K5 was an Auto.

My plans will be a small lift, armor, winch, rear locker eventually. I'm already looking into a set of Rubicon takeoffs. This thing is WAY smoother then any TJ I drove when I looked a few years ago. I always liked the JK, but it was IMO a little under powered with the 3.8. The Pentastar is a damn nice motor and runs like a top.

    Nice.
The stock rubicon 255/75/17s do pretty well offroad at 20psi.

Nah I still have it. Its a little less then three months until my lease is up. So as I'm 14K UNDER miles on my lease, I will rack it up on that and let the Jeep sit. I purchased the Jeep. I'm not sucker enough to lease a Jeep that will get used. If it doesn't get scratched up with brush "pin stripes" and dinged I'm not using it right. My 328 is in immaculate condition, a jeep I'm guessing after 3 years, not so much, plus I wouldn't be able to do as many mods!

There are so many parts for this thing I'm on over load. I'm going to buy a roll bar strap handle so the misses can climb in, an ARB snatch strap, and I got my line on some new take off Rubicon tires, and the exhaust goes on Monday, so I need to soak in and figure out what I want to do. I'm going to keep it mild though........ well, thats the plan anyway, and thats how they all start out I'm told.

Good luck with that. I tried keeping it mild and held out pretty good for almost 2 years. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and out came the lift, 35's, bumpers, wheels, armor, lockers, gears, and lights

Although truth be told I am still pretty mild compared to what is out there. If you can dream it someone has done it to a JK, and there are plenty of vendors making the parts
