      Hey guys,

Searched for write up but didn't see anything. I'm going to add front and rear puddle lights a la ToeBall.

First step is to remove the door panels (aka door trim) and I was hoping there was a write up or guide you could point me to so I don't break anything unnecessarily.

It's essentially the same procedure as the DIY's for the MKV door panel removal. I busted the trim piece for the window switches, so don't pry on it too hard.

I just remove the screws along the bottom, and then pull it straight out from bottom up. If you break any of the clips, VW will try to make you buy a whole door card. You can get just the clips from Bold-Sport though.

Thanks guys. I already got some spare clips from bold-sport when I ordered the puddle lights.

It'll be a while before I get to it. Heading out of town on Thursday for a Porsche 928 event in Wichita. Probably wont get to touch the JSW until later this month, but my plan is to do a comprehensive writeup at least on the door panel removal as the puddle light have already been done.

Most JSW questions are answered in the MKV Golf/Jetta DIY forums.

Just wanted to say thanks for the linky. Worked great! Did the driver side door marker last night. Now that the learning curve is mostly over, the next three should go speedy quick.

Glad to help; there are a lot of hidden resources on the forum.

A lot of things that are daunting to first-timers don't always require buying a Bentley manual to become fairly simple.
