I had a 93 octane GIAC tune on my 2008 R32 (same motor as yours) and I can't really say it made any difference. I had an EVOMS intake on it as well and all that did was make the engine sound a little louder. It might've made the car faster, but I could never tell. I definitely ran richer as my exhaust tips were crusted black pretty quickly. But I don't think I would bother spending like $500 again unless there were other things that could be done to make large gains when combined. For example, a Cayman S or a 911 can be modified with a few intake and exhaust bits and pieces to gain around 50hp+. I don't think the 3.2L has anywhere near that potential. You'd gain, at most, 15-20hp with a tune, intake and exhaust combo. IMO, that money would be better spent on handling upgrades like tires, wheels, brakes, bushings, sways, etc. Or put the car on a little diet to improve acceleration and handing at the same time.

At the very least, do something to mod the exhaust as that will put a smile on your face every time you hit the gas pedal. Straight pipes are my personal favorite

Frankly for this application I might suggest you use HPA tuning. That's basically all they did for 10 years (the 3.2VR6).

I'm still building. We should be running by the 21st. The 3.2 is a perfect engine to boost. The info you have read is complete garbage.

I am planning to get the United Motorsports tune for my 3.2 TT - hopefully next weekend at Waterfest. My primary reasons for the tune are a raised rpm limit to 7000 and removing the top speed limiter. Anything else is just gravy.

A map on a 3.2 will only be worth having with some supporting mods as the bottlenecks in order are..
    inlet plenum
    head
    filtered inlet
    exhaust

Dont bother upgrading the parts in reverse order..
