***New price.***
For Sale: 1975 VW Scirocco.

Purchased nearly a decade ago down south.
Trucked back to southern Vermont where it has sat untouched in a dry barn ever since. Ran it once soon after I bought it. Starter was sketchy so I bought a remanufactured unit, which is still in the box and will be included in the sale.
Everything seems to be there except the door kick plates and the horn button. The steering wheel is a duct tape wonder.
I had planned a full restoration of this cool car but I bit off more than I can chew. It should go to someone who will see it through.
This could be a parts car (lots of cool 1-year-only stuff and a crack-free windshield—hooray!) but that would be a shame.
There will need to be some cutting and welding, including the spare tire well and where the floor pan meets the firewall (under where you put your feet while sitting in the driver's/passenger's seat). The rust has not compromised the rear mount points for the control arms, though it has gotten close on the driver's side.
Wheels in photos not included but I have the original alloys. If we can get them to hold air, we can swap ‘em over, you can roll the car onto your flatbed and off you go.
$2000 or best offer.

Still for sale. $2000/bo
Don't be afraid to make an offer. Once the snow falls the storage location is inaccessible, so if that happens I'll pick this up in the spring.

Not lowballing or anythning.. but thats pricey for that sirocco in that condition

I'm respectful of OPs commitment to keep this whole, giving someone else a chance for a possible resto.
Because I see 3 - 3.5k in parts value. Trust me.I have a wee bit of experience moving '75 parts....
That value is good to know if one went into this project and gave up...
If that car has good doors with no rust through, price is a fair starting point. It is "OBO" after all!

Replied.
18" of snow in the past week has rendered the car inaccessible--it's in a barn separated from the road by a lawn. Not going to be plowing the lawn...so we'll pick this post up again in the spring.
