Anyone have any interest in meeting up on a Saturday or Sunday in August for a cruise?

Meet up at El Compadre Restaurant just off the i5 for beers and food before driving up Spirit Lake hwy to the Mt. St. Helen's overlook for photos. Spirit Lake Hwy is a great road with good asphalt, no side streets after mile 7, it takes you through canyons with plenty of twisties.

    Starting point:
    El Compadre Restaurant
1289 Mt Saint Helens Way NE

    Finish Point
    Mt Saint Helens Overlook

I had plans of going to Seattle the 2nd week of August. But I'm poor so I can't do it.

I had plans to visit friends in the district and Alexandria in early August and now I'm so poor I can't do that.

HAHA. I don't know how much truth is behind this, but seriously, I was. My family is going to Bellevue from 8/9 to 8/19. I have other priorities now.

I was supposed to go on a Civil war battlefield motorcycle tour with a buddy in mid August and I've had a lot of unexpected work things come up so I'm pushing my vacation back probably until October.

I'd be interested...are only 3.2's allowed? If there are any 8PA 2.0T quattros, I might get jealous since they won't have to fill up 1/2 way up the mountain.

I'll be the slow guy and probably have to take up the rear but at least I can drive from Portland and back on half a tank

I think we should invite the TDIs and the 2.0s

That 100 miles up the mountain and back is just about half a tank for us 3.2s

Come on it's only a two day drive if you drive straight through.

    4,462 km, 49 hours I-90 W

Ah, come on even driving backwards you could make it a couple days.

    Have a date and time

Shoot me a PM if you are interested. I'm tyring to get an idea of who is coming and logistics.

    When: Saturday August 4th 12/noon.

Where: El Compadre Restaurant just off the i5 for beers and food before driving up Spirit Lake hwy to the Mt. St. Helen's overlook for photos. Spirit Lake Hwy is a great road with good asphalt, no side streets after mile 7, it takes you through canyons with plenty of twisties

Holy Hell...I've been in a cave and totally missed this post. If this is the same route as "Windy Ridge," it will be well worth the drive. My suggestion, earlier in the day since it's a good distance to drive.

I'm down with that I've gotten interest the drive but very little feedback as to times that are better for people. Meeting up for breakfast might be more fun.

What do people think 9am? noon?

So I've had four bailouts since last week - looking like this isn't going to happen. Anyone still interested?

Audi is the girl who was really cute in high school, but now puts on way too much makeup in order to try and hang out with the hot girls.
