So I've owned this 05.5 A4Q for two months now and it only has 88k on it. The other day the check engine light came on, luckily I work at the dealer as a newly hired tech apprentice and plugged it into the computer and it gave me a intake manifold runner flap fault. I keep doing research on it and keep finding that people got letters from Audi stating that this problem was covered under an extended warranty. When I talked to my service manager as well as the warranty admin at the dealer they say cant cover it.
Im wondering, has anyone else had this issue and how they fixed it. what parts need to be replaced? and if anyone can clarify what years are applicable to the warranty.
The car runs fine atm, might even have more power then before.
I just dont want to pay an arm and a leg for the repair (ik thats what I get for buying a new german car but I love them)
*The car had all the recalls done before I purchased it (PCV and low pressure fuel sensor)

just had this replaced under warranty on my MKV FSI engine. Its a common problem and the vw dealership fixed it even though I had a forge spacer and evoms intake. it is a DIY job if you have some mechanical ability and they dont cover you.
This isn't your normal skyline. This motherfcker is the skyline God would drive if he wasn't busy doing God sh*t like making tsunamis and crap. Its set up to go fast, and go fast sideways. Who doesn't like to get sideway?! Terrorists, thats who. Are you a terrorist? No? Then you need this car.
