I didn't (couldn't stand to), watch the whole video. What I did find interesting is that in the video, when his radar detector goes on, he downshifts and brakes leading me to believe that his car is not in Germany, but still right here stateside. Why would you brake and slow everytime you hear a beep if you are driving with no speed limits? I'll have to drink a Red Bull and try to watch it again.

Who cares what the top speed of a BR-Z is? That's like finding out the rear visibility of the space shuttle. Totally irrelevant.

Autobahn manners are irrelevant for any vehicle owned and driven in the United States, for that matter. This is why BMW/Merc high-speed stability is a stupid thing to brag about if you own one here, because when/where are you ever going to use it?

If he was going to fly it somewhere, he should have flown it to Irohazaka Nikko or something.

either he's not WOT, or my Civic SI has a lot more horsepower than I previously though...

Interesting he's not only driving with VSA and traction control off, but apparently he's out of gas.

He kept shifting from 5th to 6th too soon; it wasn't until his run at ~4:30 where he pushed 5th right to the red line and it made a pretty big difference.

With a tailwind it'll be hitting 150, which is still faster than a 300hp Mustang V6

I feel bad for the guy if he actually had his BRZ shipped to Germany for a test drive. To me that is like taking your bicycle to a racetrack.

Accelerated nicely until 6th gear then game over.

edit: watched later in the video. I guess he was just cruising earlier on. I think the car did well
considering how little power it has.

What's wrong with him shipping his BR-Z to the Autobahn? If he can afford it and wants to top the car out, possibly also having a little vacation on the side...why the hell not?

When the video of the v6 mustang having its driveshaft drop after hitting 113mph was posted, TCL responded with "well you shoudn't be going those speeds / why would you ever have to go faster than that?"

When The toyobaru struggles over 113mph, TCL responds with how much of a dog it is and how miserable it must be.

      So which is it?

He didn't actually ship it to the Germanys to use das Autobanhschliden.

The video poster is using that as a ploy.

Not sure you all get what's going on here...

      1. Beep beep beep = radar detector (why would you need a valentine1 on the autobahn? )
      2. No video of the road

That said, I don't know if that speed is limited by aerodynamics or a freakishly short right leg..
