He kept shifting from 5th to 6th too soon; it wasn't until his run at ~4:30 where he pushed 5th right to the red line and it made a pretty big difference.

With a tailwind it'll be hitting 150, which is still faster than a 300hp Mustang V6

PS: Given that we only see the speedo, how do we know he wasn't doing this on a long downhill or behind another fast car? And what is the speedo error as the top speed for the car is supposed to be 143?

Of course it's not going to pull as hard in 6th, given it was already close to its top speed and the fact that 6th is a highway cruising gear (as it is in many cars). Show me another 200hp car that pulls significantly harder at ~130+ in top gear.

I didn't (couldn't stand to), watch the whole video. What I did find interesting is that in the video, when his radar detector goes on, he downshifts and brakes leading me to believe that his car is not in Germany, but still right here stateside. Why would you brake and slow everytime you hear a beep if you are driving with no speed limits? I'll have to drink a Red Bull and try to watch it again.
