Who cares what the top speed of a BR-Z is? That's like finding out the rear visibility of the space shuttle. Totally irrelevant.

Autobahn manners are irrelevant for any vehicle owned and driven in the United States, for that matter. This is why BMW/Merc high-speed stability is a stupid thing to brag about if you own one here, because when/where are you ever going to use it?

If he was going to fly it somewhere, he should have flown it to Irohazaka Nikko or something.

That said, I don't know if that speed is limited by aerodynamics or a freakishly short right leg..
mental image of this just made me geek a little.

Awaits STI version.... Wasn't bad considering the power it makes. The gears seemed a bit short but guessing that because it's not set up for a straightline, top speed kind of car.

What's wrong with him shipping his BR-Z to the Autobahn? If he can afford it and wants to top the car out, possibly also having a little vacation on the side...why the hell not?

When the video of the v6 mustang having its driveshaft drop after hitting 113mph was posted, TCL responded with "well you shoudn't be going those speeds / why would you ever have to go faster than that?"

When The toyobaru struggles over 113mph, TCL responds with how much of a dog it is and how miserable it must be.

    So which is it?

He didn't actually ship it to the Germanys to use das Autobanhschliden.

The video poster is using that as a ploy.

It's cute how you think logic applies in TCL.

I wouldn't have said it quite that way, but yeah, that.

Your TDI's 11+ second 0-60 begs to differ, as does its 100 horsepowers. My Civic can outrun your TDI

So from what i saw in the video the car sounds pretty good (i imagine a nice intake and exhaust will make it snarl nice) and it moved to 100mph pretty nicely...what more would you want?

No car I ever owned (big turbo A4, big turbo Miata, modded STI, Marauder w/4.10's) was particularly quick after 120mph...and all I ever ask is that they can blast up to 100 occasionally from a on/off ramp.

Sure i would like more power, but that ain't the point...and im sure a simple SC kit will give it a nice 50-80tq shot in the arm to make it a screamer. Is there any doubt FI kits will be out in force for this thing in the near future?

My only complaint with these cars is the price...I wish they were in the 22k range to make them absolutely compelling compared to the TC, Civic Si coupe, etc...At the 26k price point it unfortunately puts it up against some excellent machines that, while completely different formulas, will be considered by a enthusiast (like the WRX, the V6 Mustang, Genesis Coupe, Veloster Turbo, etc...)

I am a Miata fan. My FM2 kit took a 100whp car and made it a ~230whp car...fixed the car's one glaring problem, while nothing the aftermarket can do can chop 1000lb off a car, or shrink a big GT.
