I have no idea of the history of this car. I bought it to flip it and make a little money. I bought a Fox in '89 and always thought the wagons were neat. This car is complete though and would make a project. It is blue, 4 speed, no broken glass and was last inspected in '03 in PA. I am awaiting the title. I will be asking 950 for it or may consider a trade for pre-71 air cooled project. I will send pictures to anyone interested. Thanks.![]()

I Found this car on a farm in central PA, I think it is very salvagable from a Fox owner point of view. It will need some rocker repair/welding but as you can see the body is almost spotless. I do believe the a/c belt is missing and many of the panels on the interior will need to be cleaned thouroghly. The rubber is good and all the glass is 100%. As I keep the car I will continue to improve it. I do know the tank and straps are junk, I tried to show that in the pictures. I've tried to cover as much as I could with phtograghs but if there was an area you were concerned about, perhaps I could send a few more. Thanks, Heath (central PA)

If one of the moderators would like to shelve this for a few weeks I would appreciate it. It will be FS It is just taking a bit longer then I suspected. Thanks for your understanding. WORST CASE senario I'll trailer it down to The BUG-OUT September 2. Peace.![]()

I want this wagon, I don't need a title but I'm interested in it. I'm driving home or I would read up on it more. when I get home ill send you a pm.

I have the title. It is still in the PO's name so if someone in PA wants it we will not get taxed twice. If someone outside PA wants it, I will have to wait for them to do the paper work to put it in my name. This is the time to ask any questions, and request pictures of any area. It is now officially For Sale Locally for $1500neg. I will return questions within a few hours or call seven 17 9one9 four94 eight. Thanks.

This has the potential to be a decent car, BUT there are a lot of unanswereed questions re:this FOX.
I would be hard pressed to buy a Fox with so little known about it?!? YOU would be wise to see if it will even run at all? There could be a "multitude" of things that need fixing even outside it's look fairly nice.
What do you have to say about this matter in more detail? Pleeze!
Sincerely, R

probably sit in open air barn with windows down and key in the ignition for 20 years. its rusted inside and out, prob isnt worth 500$. guy net door has one under a pine tree, and i've seen a few photologs of vehicles where they weren't secured properly, you'd be surprised how many birds nests can fit into a truck cabin.

I feel the need to apologize to Phaedrus12 regarding my comments about this FOX Wagon. I did not intend to cause ill report towards this Fox Wagon. Please disregard any of my comments which were truly my own version of the story. I hope and pray this FOX Wagon finds a good home...someone that can take care of whatever this Fox Wagon needs. Please accept my apologies. Many of our troubles start one inch below our nose. And we say and do things many times without thinking first. This almost always does negative not positive things for whomever is involved. Let this be a lesson to all of us. All my best... Sincerely, Ralph

First, Apology acceptedSecond, I know this wagon needs serious help. I also know that if you try to to find one on an E-search you usually come up with 0. The people that are holding and loving these cars are kinda like splitty bus guys. The Fox like most of the 80's compacts have been wiped out by our "government" and Big Auto. They are a danger to society. The push it in pull it in you'll get $3000 irradicated most of the cool dependable Japanese and VW's and Toyota's from the world (except the third world
) so if you have something/anything from the 80's that is 4 cylinder and is titled, keep it. Even if it is "junk" 9 chances out of 10 the parts are worth more then $1500. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Bump for a really, really neat car. I've only ever seen a few and I always admire them.
FWIW I think if you clean the interior and glass and maybe change the fluids and make sure it turns over and such you'll get a grand for it from the right person. If it isn't rusted bad, don't look like it.
Good luck, hope I can find one when I have a place to put it.

have you pulled any of the panals off, or under the carpet to see if maybe water/rust is inside the car?
#27
There has been no water in the car. I have had to rebuild bugs, buses so the sub frame/rocker rust is no big deal to me. This is not a daily driver car though, It is going to need work but oh well. It looks nice in my driveway. Vw Fox Wagon- one of four 2 door wagons ever produced, the last of the ones in the US. Maybe I'll change the price to $2000.

From coast to coast all the wagons are sold quick, CL finds, Samba ads etc. The wagons are GONE or they are Beat to ****. Even with $750 work + cleaning this up+ pumping out the bad fuel and buying a battery the next set a photos will be a wagon, running, with the interior cleaned up. But I'll tell you now it's not going to cost $1500.
