about to go at it and replace my control arms, ball joints, tie rods, brakes, links, ect ect this weekend but ive run into a predicament....my driver's side output shaft seal is going out because its leaking oil and it took a quart of mt90 before filling up today.

is it worth waiting a little bit and getting seals to replace at the same time as everything else? i know ill need new seals and axle bolts so far... not too sure on what else it requires to replace.

anyone know of a diy for seals?

Yes, if you order today you can have the output shaft gaskets before this weekend.

Sounds like you have everything else pretty well figured out. The wheel bearings need to be pressed with a hydrualic press. Or special hand tools FYI.

Broke has the best 020 transmission page, the axle flange DIY is here:

Since he mentioned 90 weight gear oil I think he means the trans

I've done all control arm/motor mount bushing just using a large vice and whatever large sockets laying around the shop (1 1/16"?)

and yeah, its not a rear main seal; its definitely gear oil. im anxious to start replacing all of my parts, but dont know if 1) i have all of the equipment to replace control arms, and 2) the confidence

The wheel hub nut is a 30mm socket. A tie rod seperator fork is also very handy. It is a pretty simple assembly so its not hard to work on.
