Im not far behind you with tackling that rats nest....

I'm right there with ya man. I picked up a rado with a bunch of issues. Intermittent ignition, wipers inop, blah blah blah. I replaced the ignition harness so that's good now. Replaced the steering column cause the upper bearing was shot (bearings were falling out). I found a mouse nest under the dash too. I still need to figure out what's up with the wipers and I'm prob gonna pull out the alarm someone put in. Then I an reinstall the dash and start the reassembly of the interior process.

Yup...looks familiar. I'm in the same spot. Swapping out an entire interior including dash. Fun awaits us all![]()

Just thought I'd let you guys know I got it back together and all functional. The wires on the A-pillar are from the old auto belts. I changed over to euro manual ones. I haven't put the headliner or pillar covers back on yet because I still need to do work on the sunroof.

Nice! Yeah I know how you feel. Haven't figured out how to get the relay/fuse panel to stay rotated in place. I have it on the hooks and the clips on it but it keeps rotating.

nice i just started really working on mine. the PO really likes to cut wires.
i work on cars every day so when i comes to my cars im a slow worker lol but i have been doing a lot more lately. I got the short to power in the ignition, re wired the windows because the PO again didn't want to actually fix anything to he just hard wired them. sun roof and spoiler had some intermittent issues but thats fixed.
after all this is done I'm sure its in need of a tune up and ill probably do the chain come winter![]()

there's holes in the brackets about an inch above the hooks that you have to seat the fuse box into for it to stay. make sure you get any wires that are pinched between the bracket and fuse box out for it to stay in place.
And for anyone that has the dash out now, make sure you check that the radio harness is not chaffing against the metal support below the radio. There's a small constant power wire in the radio harness that is NOT fused, it just runs to the ignition switch and fuse-box un-fused. I would recommend adding some tape to the edge of the metal support and/or fusing that wire @ the ignition switch.
