Threw together this little shindig at SoWo this year and it was quite the hit. Instead of thinking of some other witty way to introduce the concept, I'll just copy my previous post. So here it is...
I, like I'm sure many of you, love beer. So I came up with what I thought was a pretty damn brilliant idea. Year after year I see posts in this forum asking if someone will bring them a particular brew that is not offered in their area. So why not expand upon that?
The concept is simple: Bring your local microbrews or area favorite and trade them for something new and tasty. I see it as a great opportunity to try new things, meet some people, and of course, have another reason to delicious beer.
The swap will take place on Saturday in the parking lot of Roses on 94th street at 5PM.
To ensure no run ins with Ocean City's finest, NO OPEN CONTAINERS! Bring some solo cups, or if anyone is good with graphic design make us up a logo and I'll purchase some cups for us.
Andto ModestGirl for kicking me in the ass to get this thread started.

You can't call this a "build" or "project", but rather a Journey of several projects involving many "redo's", lots of alcohol consumption or weed chiefin, swearing, cuts and scrapes.

Glad to hear there is interest. It's been a few years since I've been to H2O, but if the trend has continued I assume the police have only got more strict. As long as we adhere to open container laws I think we will be fine. I'm sure they will have their hands full that weekend.
I'll be bringing several styles of 12 oz and 22oz bottles from Williamsburg Alewerks (Williamsburg, VA), O'Connor Brewing (Norfolk, VA) , and St. George Brewing (Newport News, VA). As well as some fresh growlers from Beach Brewing Co. (Virginia Beach, VA). May also be bringing some home brews.![]()

It's going to be difficult to determine a location for the swap due to the venue change. Has anyone ever been to Fort Whaley Campground before? I got a campsite in the neighboring campground, Frontier Town, we could always hold it there if need be. Its about 15 minutes from Fort Whaley (closer to OC).

Hmm, I suppose I could bring some Lancaster Brewing Company. Hop Hog, Strawberry Wheat, Milk Stout, etc.

I guess my local brew is Weyerbacher's. I'll try and snag some "Last Chance" IPA... it's pretty damn good, and I'm picky.
