Feeler: FS Engine and 5-speed trans from an '84 GTI

I'm going to sell the 1.8 GTI engine and 5-speed trans out of my caddy.
I'm swapping in a TDI so I no longer need it. Looking to sell them together but I'm unsure on a price. Willing to separate if need be.

Per the rules of classifieds, I'll price it at $450 obo

The engine runs strong, clutch and trans are good no slipping, BRAND NEW alternator. Miles unknown, PO guessed about 175K.

I'm really trying to sell it as a package. I can separate but you'll have to wait until I have buyers for the head and trans before you can pick up. No haven't pulled it yet and if you read above I'm also trying to sell the other pieces of the engine so I will continue to post until they are purchased.

I don't know if you think I'm just out to stick it to you and you friend in some way but you are mistaken. I'm in the middle of a swap project that takes time. If you are too impatient to wait for the transmission to be pulled you are welcome to find one elsewhere but, as I told you in the PM, it will be out before the end of the month.

I understand that, but most people who have something listed for sale are motivated seller's. The way you make it sound is oh ya once I do this and this or get this figured out I will be trying to sell. No worries though I am going elsewhere at this point.
