    Hi all,

I have the opportunity to buy this 1988 BMW 318i. It has roughly 115,000 on the clock for let's say around $700. The body is clean an rust free. The interior has some wear and cuts. The engine has an idle problem at 2,000rpm and the battery is dead. It needs a new exhaust system and the timing checked out. The current owner may have fried the ECU by jumping some wires.( yes he is a bloody idiot) It will also need new tires.

    Anyway here are some pictures.

To my knowledge, there was no 318i made in 1988, only six cylinder models.

You can get seats for cheap. I love the old ones. Is that New Haven?

I would run the VIN to confirm specs, but it doesn't seem like an '88.

Did you check the battery box area and opposite well for rust? As well as the floors behind the seats?

No I did not. I offered him $300 and he turned it down. It is still sitting in the same spot.

Buy it, then buy a wrecked 95 m3. For under 5k you have a s50 e30 that would put endless smile on your face.
