hey guys, ive been searching far and wide for hours... and ive got a little issue.

i grabbed the sirius radio tuner out of my 06' GTI and it has 2 FAKRA connectors on it, a green and brown. my 09' GTI only has 1 connector and its green.. i want to use my old tuner inside the new GTI but having issues locating a cable to convert this.

im curious if i put the old tuner in and only plug in the green connector will it work? a friend of mine said he found a converter at the dealer but i went down there earlier and they cant find a single thing.

this is basically what i need, found stuff on ebay but would rather grab it from the dealer if need be:

i already called up sirius to have them swap the subscription over to the new tuner but they want 80 bucks to do it so i told them to stick it. plus its a lifetime subscription and i only have 3 swaps before they make me buy it again.

Just plug in the green connector and ignore the other one. VW/Audi changed to single antenna receivers in 2007. You only need a splitter if you have a single antenna cable to use with a dual-antenna receiver.

That's what I was going to do but I ended up calling a Sirius dealer number and pretending I was swapping the unit under warranty and got it turned on.
