The reason I bring this subject up is cuz yesterday I heard about the Kerry Kennedy (daughter of Robert Kennedy) http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/13/us/new...dwi/index.html accident, which happened while she was driving her annoying Lexus SUV (my guess is the annoying RX) But her accident is still nothing compared to the late Ted Kennedy's infamous Chappaquiddick accident. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chappaquiddick_incidentWhich is perhaps the most infamous automobile accident of all time. Thus I really wonder now if the Kennedy's hold the crown of infamy when it comes to automobile accidents on the streets that is, not the race track.

Annoying RX? I love my RX450h. Name another SUV that is not only luxurious but gets 45mpg.

When you are part of a famous family, your actions get scrutinized.
So anything any Kennedy does gets news coverage. Great.
But there are plenty of families with worse records- but they are not famous and thus not covered as such.
Heck, even the former first lady (Laura Bush) killed somebody in a car crash a teenager.

But since her family was not nationally known then, it was not news.

I agree with you, there are family's with worse driving records than the Kennedy's. Since they haven't achieved the fame the Kennedy's have though, that's what makes the Kennedy's more infamous than any other celebrity family I can think of.

Shut this stupid thread down. Just because a 2nd Kennedy has a car accident after all these decades warrants a discussion? The Kennedy's just have accidents period. Murders, ski accidents, rapes, plane crashes--Teddy and JFK, jr, hangings...

How about the most infamously WRONG public perception of a crash?

ala James Dean, boozing it up and driving like a wild man at 100+mph.

    Except he wasn't.
