Odd for sure. What does it do once it goes up, just stay there until a power cycle?
Do you have a link for the exact kit or schematic? Are you measuring 12v on pin1/2 of the Microsquirt module or elsewhere?

I have been helping him via phone , as he is 45miles away. So, not sure exactly where he is measuring. I'm thinking if I get more info, I may have to make a trip over and get my hands on it. This is the second unit he has tried and they both had this issue, so I had him recheck and redo the grounds. Next, he is going to verify each pin on the factory harness connector. The car ran with the factory ECU, but that since been sold to buy this unit.
Here is a link to the actual unit he purchased:http://www.stinger-performance.com/universalparts.html
And what we believe is the equivalent from DIY: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/d...kit-p-421.html
He is measuring the input voltage on the factory harness into the ECU box.

That Stinger one doesn't use the DIYAutotune mainboard with it... could be anything and they should be owning the problem.

Fixed, so far. He found that the factory map sensor was causing most of the problem, and since the unit has on-board map sensors, he has removed it and any other unneeded wiring. The car starts now and the problem appears to be gone. Further testing and tuning will ensue.
