Can you flash a MK4 that has a 3.6 VR6 FSI swapped into it? Running full FSI setup with a 3.6 ECU.

1) What happens when the dealer flashes a software update ontop?
2) Is there a way to switch between stock and UR map for when I bring it to the dealership? (still under extended warranty)
3) Can the stock clutch and tranny take Stage 1 for long, or are those expected to be eventually upgraded?
4) What other supporting mods would help with reliability?

A stock car should have no problem with a Stage 1 tune not sure about being able to go back to a stock map so the deal wouldnt know you have it but there are mod friendly dealers.

Supporting mods will help like turbo back, Cal, better intercooler and so on

First off, sorry to everyone that has PM'ed me or replied here. Vortex stopped emailing me about updates to this thread and PMs.

1) The dealer can't flash over our software, so that won't be an issue.
2) There isn't a switch.
3) You shouldn't have any issues with a stage 1 flash and your transmission / clutch setup.
4) None for stage 1.

Make sure to bring your camp chair.

I know I can flash my car, but I have a bunch of very specific things in my ECU program.

This is something that I'll talk to Jeff about and see what he thinks.

One more question, the website states that it is a "Fuel Octane-indifferent performance map," which I assume means I can continue to use regular pump gas, not premium? Assuming this is true, then please do add me to the list, and tell me where to send the payment through paypal. The prices listed on your website are in Canadian Dollars?

The file is optimized for premium but you can run lower grades if needed. You definitely would want to be using that instead of regular (even normally).

For daily driving I'd like to be able to use regular to save money, but when I hit the track I'll run premium.

All I need now is an account to send the money to!

You'll actually save money by running premium in the car. You'll spend an extra couple at the pumps but get it all back and more with the extra gas mileage, especially once you're chipped

The DSG software makes a world of difference. Makes it a whole new car. The little flat spot in the power band at 4400 revs will be gone too.
