Thread: QUESTION shaving secondary air

    my buddy has done his 1.8t and another friend his r, using a block off plate behind the motor at the beginning of the secondary air hose, my question is i cant seem to find a block off plate for the 2.0 motor, has anyone done this? what have they done? another friend said he plugged his with some sort of bolt but it didnt work well...also caused his fans to constantly run, any info would be great

    What are you trying to gain? The only thing you'll gain from deleting SAI is a blazing CEL on the dash. Oh, and let's not forget the legal issues you'll encounter in NJ.

    There is no power, economy, or any other gain to be had from removing it. If it's not working, it's easier to fix it than remove it anyway, very simple system.

    If its AEG its gonna be on your exhaust manifold...you will see a small port on the driver side just under where the "combi" valve is located coming down from your tb...you can use a bolt with some jb weld..or just weld it closed..I just did it ony my AEG shave. turned out pretty nice I'd say

    thank you for the info, helped alot, so i guess its safe to say no company makes a block off plate lol
