Try to find some Indonesian food place(if you don't have peanut allergy) in Amsterdam. Indonesia being a long time colony of The Netherlands that they are relatively prevalent there.

So I am currently in Amsterdam right now, arrived yesterday from Chicago. I have been here before but during the winter. I have not been to Berlin or Istanbul. I am looking for any ideas or suggestions for each place.
Also specifically for Amsterdam I am looking for any places that have decent food. The food here is abysmal to say the least, but I feel that it may be because so many are tourist centric and poor to say the least.
Give me some ideas!
FYI for reference I am a 29 year old guy who enjoys travel, fun, etc. My travel partner is 30 and similar but a vegatarian. We are both gay but gay, but what we do does not in anyway have to be "gay centric" ANY and all ideas are appriciated

Hagia Sophia/Blue Mosque in Istanbul, obviously. Grand Bazaar is pretty insane too if you don't mind crowds. The catacombs are pretty small, but worth spending an hour in also. We also took about a three hour Bosphorous Cruise and that was really great too. Dolmabahce Palace and Topkapi Palace are pretty neat too if you're into artifacts and architecture.
I can't remember the name but the floating Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam is not bad, except for the fact you're having Chinese in Holland
Edit - just now realized how old this thread is lol
