Thread: Carb trouble

    Hey,

    I am running a redline/weber 'k-403' kit on my 83 rabbit.
Im running it on a 2L aba 8v non-crossflow, with a carter fuel pump putting out correct fuel pressure

    link of kit
    http://store.blackforestindustries.com/rek403cacoki.html

Ive got the idle down great, starts up great I can drive it runs fine never bogs out, unless you hit about 3200 rpm's.

It cuts out and sounds like its sucking air, The plugs are not fouled so its not getting enough fuel at higher rpms. It will never die out and stop running.

Im newer to this and was just wondering if someone had an idea where to start,

    different jets?

any ideas would be awesome, thanks

    mike

is it able to maintain enough fuel pressure as rpms rise?

take off your hood a drive around and watch your pressure gauge.

what is the float set too? do you have vacuum leaks?
what size air correctors ,mains and emulsion tubes?.....but the first thing i would check is the float level.what is your timing ? do you have good compression?
there is a ton of things it could be .
