Edit: I did notice that in the pic of the gauge, it looks like there is a lot of light leaking around the hub of the needle. I double checked this morning and the gauges in the car do not have this light leak. Is it possible to fix this light leak?

As stated, ignore the needle hub design as this is a test needle.

ive almost forgotten about this. im really torn as if i should keep it in the vent or get a column mount. ive started to get used to the vent placement with my newsouth gauge, but when i first put it in i was bent on getting the column mount. anyone with experience with both of these mount positions could chime in.

CTS Thanks for hosting this thread for us/Podi. I do have a quick question regarding your intake though. Do you offer a heat shield similar to the one offered by EVOMS? if not will the EVOMS one fit with your intake?

The prototype gauge has arrived at Podi and here are some untouched daytime images to show you the needle color match.
Podi tried to take night time pics with my small Canon SD camera but could not correctly capture the hue of blue.
Podi will be heading to CTS tomorrow to install the gauge in our Golf R to see how close the night time illumination is to the OEM cluster.
