#4 - "State and local financing"...what does this mean? Are they saying fewer loans were given to students? It doesn't seem like its saying this, but I don't follow what it's saying, exactly.

If it's saying people are financing less of their college education, this is good news.

Wow, hybrids are a ripoff! I know someone who just bought a new Prius for a 2.5 mile round trip commute.

i have said this 100 times i think.

buying a hybrid isnt about ROI... its about lowering running costs. its about using fewer resources.

and as with EVERY argument against hybrids and TDIs... the person doing the math ALWAYS fails to take resale into consideration. basically no one will keep their car 10 yrs much less 47 yrs... so resale is important.

hybrids and TDI vehicles excel at maintaining their value. so when you DO switch out cars, you are getting a premium resale price... which wipes out that whole '47 year' theory.
