My question is in regards to SRI's. I hear ALOT from both sides, that, SRI's on N/A setups lose enormous amounts of Tq, where on the other side of the argument is that the loss minimal amounts at best! Clearly there is a loss becuase the stock intake mani on VR's are actually pretty well designed for power delivery, but what is the loss? dyno's befor and after anyone? and also who produces a decent one HPA? JBS? CTS?(that isnt as pricey as C2's )

I am preparring mine for a turbo, but dont have the money yet to but it, so i did some head work and several other things to clean the bay and pump up N/A performance in the mean time and chromed the valve cover, and for this reason i want an SRI(and because ill need it for my high boost application later anyway) so that i can show off this shiney new sexy valve cover

So fellow vortexers what kind of power loss am i in for

I would just stay with the stock inlet for now untill you jump to FI then get a decent SRI.
Mating an R36 inlet will be time consuming but probably the only way to improve on air flow whilst keeping the short and long runner facility.
Save your $ for when you are ready.
