Bump for a very pretty car![]()

SOLD
Ive owned this car since 2002. I bought it in California and drove it home to Tennessee.
1979, German built car. California car
Alpine white, original paint. Zero rust on this car anywhere.
Interior is 9.5 out of 10. Very very clean in there. Everything works perfectly in the interior including tach, speedo, heater, all lights, signals, etc. Blaupunkt radio works but is currently not hooked up. There is an OEM speaker in the dash that does work.
I did this swap right and feel confident in saying I didnt cut corners or spare expense....as seen by the new parts list you'll find below. Everything has been done logically and with an attempt at an OEM looking install. You can ask me anything you want about it.
I will attempt to list all the parts on this car...
Engine/Tranny: 2.8 VR6. The following parts are new with maybe 3k miles on them..... Battery, K&N filter ,fuel pump, fuel filter, gas tank, plugs, wires, flywheel, clutch, water pump, all hoses, crack pipe, corrado VR radiator, coolant jug, dual 10" fans, low temp thermostat, low temp fan switch, all seals and gaskets, o2 sensor, coolant sensors, axles, serp pulley bearing, serp belt, BFI poly mount on tranny, VF mount on passenger side, VW mounts elsewhere, 2.25 Eurosport exhaust, wheel bearings, Claus von Essen rod linkage kit from Germany (shifts amazingly), mk4 hydraulic clutch set up (clutch slave, master and hose are all new).
BTW, this ECU may have a chip but not sure. Runs like it does to me with no speed limiter. It does have a redline limiter. The car runs perfectly with never a problem. Always ran synthetic oil, OEM pink coolant and 92 octane gas.
Secondary air delete, EGR delete, Cat delete. Downpipe and exhaust tip are aluminum-ceramic coated.
Suspension: KW coilovers, old school Autotech upper front stress bar, Eibach lower front stress bar, Neuspeed rear sway bar. Poly a-arm bushings.
Brakes: 10.1" Brembo with drilled rotors up front braided lines, 9.4" rear disc... Brembo drilled rotors, New 22mm master cylinder.
Exterior: 15" ATS cup 15x7 et28, Toyo 195/45 T1Rs with very little wear at all. Chrome small metal eurobumpers. Perfect condition, Hella clear turn signal lenses. New grille and front badge.
Interior: All OEM stock except for new CoCo floor mats.
Windshield has gotten a rock hit on it (can be seen in the center of the glass in the front pic. Paint is OEM so has its bug chips here and there, a few scratches. Right rear quarter just near the taillight has been repaired at one point. The job wasnt perfect but in my years of owning the car it has yet to change and has no rust. You may can see this in pics I think but I am happy to take detail shots. Under the windshield there is a small odd place that may can be seen in pics. Has no rust there but may have been repaired at one point too. I may have forgotten some parts so may add as time passes.
I can take any pics you want of details, etc. Just ask.
$8350 cash

God damn, if I could register (legally) this in California again, this car would be on the transport truck by now.

still need to go thru odometer reading inspection when importing car registered out of state
EDIT: however, last time, when I imported my current benz from texas, they never asked me to open the hood. Just checked the odometer and VIN as well as door jam sticker.
Maybe I can hide a boombox under the hood and loop a tape of diesel sound, ahahahaha![]()

Hmm, would be on this in a second if I hadn't just bought the '75.
Well, good luck with the sale, someone is getting a very good deal.
Look forward to seeing what the next project is, VW or not.

As requested by many, a few detail shots.
Not sure if I mentioned but the car is original paint.
If you have questions about specific pictures, I can explain.

Looks great and nice mods... BTW, its had paint work in several areas from your pics - doesn't detract from it - just sayin'. Might have had a light bump in the back as the hatch and below is repainted, and the cowl looks like might have had some attention once before too.
