do i need stretch???

so ive seen a few low new beetles and even fewer of which are static. some of which roam the forum. all other mk4s have the luxury of metal fenders. has anyone successfully stretched NB fenders? i dont have the $$ resources for new rims and tires to run sketchy stretch. i DD my car and would like to go just a hair lower but my tires are eating into my fenders.

What offset and size wheels do you have and how low do you want to go I have 18x8 wheels and I just lowered my bug my offset was 42 I put 12mm spacer in the front and I have no rubbing the tire is tucked in the well the rears I put 25mm spacer to look flush with the front but since I lowered it I can't go too low in the back leaving a two finger gap not bad for daily driver

when you account for your spacers subtract the spacer width from your original offset.

that's why i have shown these sites to as many people that ask about which tires to go with and how they will looked stretched. falkens and nitto give the best stretch.

I'm running Nankang tires 225/40/18 and I don't think it's a true size tire if you know what I mean it stretches a little. Of much so I have to swap out my 20mm spacer in the back for 15 and may just get 215/40 for the rear to level the lowering right now my bug has a race car stance low in front high in back

if you have 18x8.5 rims, i think the Falken 512 215_40_R18 would look good. you can used different spacers to get the look and stance you want. also these will look good too 8.5_215_45_R18 falken 912. if your rims are 18x8 i would go with 8_215_35_R18. does you ride have coilovers or springs? when you get a stretched tire you could have some poke. if you get one of these tire sizes and have coilovers is how you can get rid of that California rake look.

205 40 18 nitto neogen or nankang nsii tires..this will alow u to go low if u want
